Medical Assistant- Schofield, WI

A dermatology practice in the Schofield, WI area is looking for a Medical Assistant to join its team! This is a great opportunity for someone interested in dermatology, patient care, and assisting with in-office procedures.

Position Highlights

• Medical Assistant position in a dermatology practice

• Work alongside dermatology and/or plastic surgery providers

• Assist with minor surgeries, biopsies, and other procedures

• Opportunity to develop specialized dermatology skills

• Travel to other clinic locations as needed

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required

• EMT, CNA, or Surgical Tech credential listed as required

• 1+ years of medical office or clinical experience preferred

• Ability to obtain Certified Dermatology Technician (CDT) designation

• Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills

• Ability to meet applicable state registration requirements

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced clinical environment

Responsibilities

• Greet and room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories

• Assist providers with patient visits and medical scribing

• Prepare patients and assist with biopsies, minor surgeries, and dermatology treatments

• Clean and stock exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain infection control standards

• Prepare specimens for laboratory processing

• Provide patient education and post-procedure instructions

• Assist with electronic medical records, prior authorizations, and patient follow-up
