Job Summary
The College of New Caledonia has a full-time probationary faculty appointment in the Medical Radiography Technology Program. The successful candidate will teach across Years 1 and 2 of the program, with responsibilities that may include theory, laboratory, and practicum courses. The successful candidate may also be required to provide instructional coverage in other areas of the program as program needs change. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization skills, as well as effective interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership abilities. A commitment to student success, lifelong learning, and collaborative practice is essential. The successful candidate will maintain current knowledge of medical radiography practice and contribute to the integration of classroom, laboratory, and clinical learning. They will contribute to program development and continuous improvement, including activities related to accreditation, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and the implementation of professional and clinical standards. They will work collaboratively with CNC faculty, colleagues, clinical partners, and other educational and community partners. Excellent communication skills are required, including the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with students, colleagues, clinical partners, and other external stakeholders. The successful candidate must be prepared to complete the Instructional Diploma Program if they do not already possess training in adult education methodology. Skills & Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Medical Radiography Technology Diploma and current membership with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists ( CAMRT )
- Three years of recent experience in the medical radiography profession.
- Demonstrated current knowledge of medical radiography practice, including imaging technology, protocols, patient safety, radiation protection, and clinical practice.
- Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to effectively use electronic learning platforms and educational technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, or degree in progress, in medical radiography technology, education, or related discipline.
- Five or more years of recent experience in the medical radiography profession.
- Teaching experience in Medical Radiography Technology education and/or clinical instruction, including experience supervising and mentoring students.
- Education or experience in adult education methodology.
- Diverse clinical experience across practice settings and imaging modalities.
- Computed Tomography (CT) experience.
- Demonstrated experience contributing to program development, accreditation, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and/or implementation of professional and clinical standards.
- Demonstrated leadership experience within the radiography profession or clinical environment.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to a positive, collaborative, high-performing team environment, including a willingness to share knowledge, support colleagues, and contribute to program goals.
Salary $73,879 - $87,659 Commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience
