Medical Software Safety Engineer

As a Medical Software Safety Engineer, you will drive software safety activities across the product lifecycle for medical devices. You will work with cross-functional teams to identify hazards, assess risks, and prepare safety documentation. You will ensure compliance with medical device standards and regulatory requirements while supporting verification, validation, and software risk management. This role sits at the intersection of engineering and regulation, shaping safer software for SaMD products. You will contribute to the mission by enabling high-quality, compliant medical software at scale.

• Conduct hazard analyses, risk assessments, and safety documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Software, Quality, Regulatory, and Product Development
• Ensure compliance with relevant medical device standards and regulatory requirements
• Support verification, validation, and software risk management activities

• 4 years of experience in the medical device and/or SaMD sector
• Strong understanding of software risk management and functional safety principles
• Knowledge of ISO 14971, IEC 62304, and related medical device regulations
