MEP Access Manager

In this role you ensure safe, compliant MEP access during AFO and MEP fit-out for shafts and headhouses on HS2. You will align designs with contract requirements and enable smooth buildability and handovers with cross-functional teams. You’ll manage access planning, safety, and interfaces with third parties, supporting a robust project programme. This position offers exposure to major rail infrastructure delivery within a collaborative JV environment, with opportunities for development and contribution to safety, quality and sustainability standards.

- Review designs for compliance with contract requirements while ensuring buildability and maintainability
- Monitor design progress prioritising safety in construction and testing/commissioning stages
- Understand T&C strategy and Safe Systems of Work
- Identify long-lead/high-risk packages and access routes to installation points
- Develop and submit MEP Permit procedures
- Collaborate with planning to maintain a robust 6-week lookahead programme
- Coordinate with third parties HS2/HSRS for early access and handovers
- Support implementation of health, safety, environmental and quality standards
- Promote SCS values and behaviours across the project
- Professional qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related subject
- Experience delivering MEP works on a major rail or infrastructure project
- Knowledge of Construction and testing/commissioning regulations (e.g., BS 7671, Building Regulations)
- Relevant CSCS Card
- SMSTS or equivalent

- Managing interfaces between Supply Chain and Access arrangements (MEP Riser Management)
