Mergers Acquisitions Analyst Calgary

Build transaction expertise at EY as an M&A Analyst in Calgary or Edmonton, using market analysis and financial modeling skills.

This Analyst or Associate role supports EY’s established M&A Practice across high-profile transactions. You will contribute to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financing, and valuations. The work spans deal sourcing through closure, with research, valuation analysis, presentations, and due diligence supporting sophisticated clients. Analyst candidates require two to four years of related experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform market, competition, industry risk, and opportunity analysis
• Synthesize comparable companies and precedent transaction research
• Prepare discounted cash flow and comparable valuation analyses
• Draft pitches, marketing materials, and client presentations
• Manage electronic data rooms and due diligence processes

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or similar
• Analyst requires two to four years related experience
• Strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling skills
• Working knowledge of Canadian and international finance concepts
• Ability to work independently under competing deadlines
