Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst

Mergers and acquisitions analysis at EY demands financial modeling and valuation expertise. Support transactions within a globally connected practice serving sophisticated clients worldwide.

As an Analyst or Associate, you will help execute M&A processes from deal sourcing through closure. Your work will include market research, comparable transaction analysis, financial modeling, and valuation. You will also prepare client materials, manage due diligence, and advise clients across industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research markets, business drivers, competitors, industries, risks, and opportunities
• Synthesize comparable companies and precedent transactions for transaction analysis
• Prepare financial models with scenario analysis
• Complete discounted cash flow and market multiples valuations
• Develop pitches, presentations, and marketing materials

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or similar
• Analyst: two to four years of related experience
• Associate: four or more years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of Canadian and international finance and accounting concepts
• Strong Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling skills
