Overview

As Software Engineering Platform Lead, you own the Merit FINBOS platform, guiding architecture, delivery and team enablement. You collaborate with pre-sales, security and business units to build secure, scalable solutions for clients. You influence technical strategy and mentor engineers while driving agile processes. This is a hands-on leadership role in a fast-growing engineering function, with impact across product, architecture and operations. You shape the platform’s evolution to meet client needs and business goals.

Responsibilities
  • Own the Merit FINBOS platform application and its technical roadmap
  • Collaborate with business units to deliver secure and scalable client solutions
  • Engage with pre-sales and business leads to capture technical requirements
  • Define and implement technical strategy with Engineering, Delivery and Security teams
  • Select components based on sound practices and strategies
  • Oversee strategy delivery and provide technical recommendations to the core team
  • Own agile processes and productivity for the engineering team
  • Lead and mentor technical teams
Key requirements
  • 4–5+ years in leading software engineering teams
  • Hands-on development experience in the Microsoft .NET stack
  • Experience with VBscript and C++ in older tech stacks
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server databases
  • Experience with agile methodologies and delivering in multi-disciplinary, remote teams
