Metadata & Data Quality Manager

In this role you will lead the strategic vision and implementation of data quality and a Group Data Catalogue to support the Next Level Strategy. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders to improve governance and data quality across the organisation, shaping data management processes for a multi-brand, multi-channel business. You’ll coach a team of metadata and data quality analysts and drive transformational data initiatives with a focus on impact and scalability.

• Define and implement enterprise-wide data management strategy aligned with Next Level Strategy
• Lead and develop a team of metadata and data quality analysts
• Drive data quality improvements, controls and triage/remediation with KPIs
• Oversee value creation and transformation programmes for the Group Data Catalogue
• Establish governance, data ownership and stewardship practices across the organisation
• Ensure organisation-wide adoption of data governance and quality frameworks
• Coordinate with senior stakeholders to secure alignment on strategic data decisions
• Develop reporting and visualisations to track data quality and catalogue initiatives

• Proven experience delivering an enterprise-wide data management strategy including data quality and governance ownership
• Experience implementing and sustaining a Data Catalogue (e.g., Alation, Collibra)
• Strong understanding of metadata management, data stewardship, data ownership, quality frameworks and governance principles
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams in data/analytics/governance
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders up to Director/Head level
• Knowledge of engineering, architecture and data management principles including data warehouses and data platforms
• Experience establishing data quality controls, triage processes, prioritisation frameworks and KPIs with business impact
• Experience creating reporting/visualisations with Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy or similar
