Microsoft 365 & Cloud Engineer

In this role you will drive the migration of an on-premises and hybrid setup to a fully cloud-managed Microsoft environment. You will work within a small IT team to shape the modern workplace using Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID, delivering hands-on configuration, improvements and security enhancements. You’ll own key transformation work, balancing project delivery with BAU support, and influence how the cloud estate evolves. This is a practical, impact-focused opportunity to scale the organization’s cloud infrastructure and security posture.

• Support migration from on-premises/hybrid to a cloud-managed Microsoft environment
• Configure and optimise Intune, Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and related modern workplace technologies
• Implement endpoint management with Windows Autopilot, policies and compliance controls
• Review and recommend improvements to the current Microsoft environment
• Assist migration away from legacy AD, Exchange and Group Policy
• Contribute to security initiatives including Cyber Essentials Plus, Defender and vulnerability management
• Support Microsoft 365 services like SharePoint and Purview, and broader collaboration/security features
• Assist with remaining on-prem infrastructure during the transition
• Collaborate across project delivery and BAU within a small IT team

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Intune and Entra ID / Azure AD
• Demonstrable experience implementing and improving Intune and modern endpoint management
• Experience with Windows Autopilot, device management, configuration policies and user management
• Experience migrating on-premises or hybrid Microsoft environments to cloud
• Good understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange and Windows environments
• Understanding of security technologies including Conditional Access, Defender, vulnerability management
• Networking fundamentals (switches, Wi-Fi, firewalls)
• Experience with VMware and on-premise infrastructure is advantageous
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a small IT team across transformation and BAU
