Overview

In this role you will lead the design, deployment, and operations of the Microsoft 365 environment (Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Exchange Online) to support Sompo’s IT priorities. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver large, complex cloud solutions, mentor peers, and ensure changes follow risk and lifecycle processes. You’ll optimize the O365 stack for reliability, security, and user experience while contributing to strategic architecture reviews. This is a hands‑on, engineering‑driven opportunity in a collaborative IT environment.

Responsibilities
  • Engineer and implement Microsoft O365 capabilities to support company expansion
  • Provide tier 3 support and end‑to‑end O365 environment management
  • Ensure production changes follow lifecycle methodology and risk/change guidelines
  • Mentor colleagues and participate in architecture reviews and strategic development
  • Manage O365 components (Exchange Online, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Azure, scripting, Active Directory, archiving) and related services
Key requirements
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Hands‑on experience with O365 (Exchange Online, Outlook, Office, OneDrive, SharePoint Online, Azure, scripting, Active Directory, archiving)
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, automation)
  • Experience with Cisco UC/Collaboration technologies (WebEx)
  • O365 user, license, and group management
  • Familiarity with Azure security features (AIP, DLP, Advanced eDiscovery, Conditional Access)
  • Experience with infrastructure areas (AD, VMware, Storage, Backup & Recovery, SQL Server, Azure)
  • Experience managing cloud VMs (Azure, AWS, GCP) and related resources (security groups, load balancers, storage, recovery)
  • Azure resource configuration (Virtual WAN, Application Gateway, Route Table, Policy)
  • Experience with System Center Orchestrator runbooks (PowerShell/C#) and Azure DevOps for CI/CD
  • Deployment of Azure resources using IaC (ARM, Bicep, Terraform)
  • Configuring private endpoints/private DNS zones at scale
  • Basic knowledge of version control (Git/GitHub)
