Microsoft Infrastructure Network Administrator

Use Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 expertise as Network Administrator with the City of Owen Sound. Support infrastructure, users, and municipal operations.

This 12-month contract reports to the Manager of Information Technology within Corporate Services Information Technology. You will administer servers, networks, applications, and technology infrastructure while delivering customer-focused technical support. The work includes cybersecurity, disaster recovery, monitoring, documentation, and assigned technology projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP
• Administer Microsoft 365 and related applications
• Monitor network performance and recommend reliability improvements
• Install, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain infrastructure equipment
• Develop technical documentation, diagrams, procedures, and system records

Requirements:

• Diploma in information technology, networking, systems, or related field
• At least three years in network administration or related technology
• Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with firewalls, switches, routers, VPNs, and wireless networks
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
