Microsoft Purview Data Protection Co-op

Build Microsoft Purview experience in a hybrid Vancouver co-op focused on DLP monitoring, reporting, sensitivity labeling, and governance.

Teck Resources Limited seeks a temporary full-time Data Protection Operations co-op for eight months. This student role supports Microsoft Purview controls through operational assurance, evidence collection, and data protection risk visibility. You will collaborate with Data Protection Operations, Security, Privacy, and IT teams while studying cybersecurity, information management, business, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor Microsoft Purview DLP alerts, policy activity, and operational metrics
• Analyze DLP trends, false positives, recurring issues, and policy performance
• Validate sensitivity labels and auto-labeling classification outcomes
• Prepare dashboards, scorecards, and governance reporting packages
• Maintain evidence repositories and track remediation activities

Requirements:

• Undergraduate enrollment throughout the Canadian co-op term
• Plan to return to studies for at least one academic term
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cybersecurity interests
• Microsoft Excel data analysis experience; advanced skills preferred
• Clear communication and detailed documentation abilities
