Mid-level Golang Engineer

Overview

In this role within the Payment Performance team, you craft and optimize real-time payment routing using Go, ML, and live data to boost success rates and revenue for merchants. You’ll collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and incident responders to maintain ultra-low latency and high reliability at scale. The position combines hands-on coding with system design and documentation to advance a high-performance payments platform. Responsibilities

• Support and guide software and infrastructure engineers working on proprietary routing algorithms
• Maintain uptime and latency targets without compromising API response accuracy
• Collaborate with data scientists to improve platform algorithms and outcomes
• Contribute to hiring and developing engineers on the team
• Maintain team cohesion and health through proactive communication
• Participate in incident response, post-incident reviews, and on-call rotations
• Make long-term infrastructure planning decisions balancing quality and simplicity
• Uphold high-quality coding, infrastructure, and documentation standards
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Contribute to designing, developing, and delivering new product features
