In this role, you contribute to Mission Solutions across the sensor-to-effect chain, shaping new systems or enhancing existing ones through modelling, software, data fusion, and performance analysis. You work with cross-functional teams to apply analysis, development, and evaluation to real-world defence challenges. The opportunity spans roles at multiple UK sites and with NATO-affiliated deployments, offering growth through mentoring and specialist development. - Design and improve mission systems, including digital modelling and process development
- Develop software and conduct testing and evaluation of mission data
- Perform data fusion and operational analysis using ML/NN techniques
- Work with interoperability methods, datalinks, and secure communications
- Explore autonomy/AI applications and HMI development
- Develop and integrate mission planning systems and synthetic environments
- Apply model-based engineering and system engineering practices
- Engage in practical and theoretical research to leverage emerging technologies
- Background in Mathematics, Science, or Engineering
- Proficiency in Matlab, Python, and C++ (or equivalent)
- Experience with data fusion and machine learning
- Knowledge of interoperability, datalinks, and secure communications
- Systems engineering mindset and experience with mission planning or autonomous systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and in Defence context
