Overview

In this role you will strengthen and scale our automated mobile testing for iOS and Android, partnering with developers, QE engineers, and product teams to keep releases fast and dependable. You’ll own automation suites and contribute to framework direction, while collaborating across engineering to raise quality. The position blends hands-on testing with architecture improvements and embraces emerging AI-assisted tooling to speed up test creation and triage. This is a mid-level role with opportunities to influence testing strategy and delivery.

Responsibilities
  • Add and maintain automated tests for iOS and Android apps using Appium in Java
  • Run and scale tests on real devices via BrowserStack
  • Integrate mobile automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, CircleCI)
  • Collaborate with mobile developers and QE to define test strategy and coverage
  • Investigate failures, differentiate flaky tests from defects, and drive fixes
  • Maintain and improve Appium/Java framework and BrowserStack infrastructure
  • Contribute to code reviews and share automation best practices
  • Report test coverage and quality metrics to engineering and product stakeholders
  • Explore AI-assisted tooling to accelerate test creation and failure triage
Key requirements
  • Experience automating native mobile apps (iOS and/or Android)
  • Hands-on experience with mobile automation frameworks using Appium
  • Strong Java programming and OOP
  • Experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber)
  • Experience running tests on BrowserStack or similar cloud device platforms
  • Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Bitrise, CircleCI)
  • Understanding of mobile app architecture and testing on real devices vs emulators/simulators
