Mobile Engineer

As Mobile Software Engineer at Teya you will empower small and medium-sized businesses across Europe by building and improving our mobile apps. You will deliver scalable, secure, and intuitive solutions that help merchants manage payments and related services. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to align technical choices with business goals, contributing to architecture design and deployment improvements. • Build mobile apps supporting payments acceptance, business accounts, card issuing, and ePOS systems
• Enable offline capabilities, secure data storage, and dynamic features like push notifications and deep linking
• Ensure smooth app upgrades and support for internationalization/localization
• Collaborate with design and product teams to deliver compelling user experiences
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, logging, and observability practices
• Adhere to clean architecture (Domain, Application, Infrastructure, Presentation)
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) and refine requirements with Product Owners
• Mentor and support team members to foster collaboration and growth
• Continuously improve applications with automation to reduce waste and error
• Work within Agile/Scrum methodologies to ensure timely delivery and continuous improvement
• Build cross-platform payment SDKs and device abstraction layers for payment processing
• Develop developer tools and documentation to simplify payment integration
• Develop standardized APIs to reduce integration complexity
• Ensure secure, compliant payment processing components

• Kotlin Multiplatform experience (KMP)
• Mobile development background (Android/Kotlin or iOS)
• SDK development experience for libraries/frameworks
• Payment technology knowledge (payments, NFC, financial transactions)

• Great communicator and collaborator
• Organised with strong project management
• Growth mindset and hands-on attitude
• Advanced Kotlin, including coroutines and multiplatform APIs
• Cross-platform architecture knowledge (shared code, expect/actual)
• API integration with RESTful services and secure protocols
