£200 standby payment About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused

Mobile Mechanical Engineer

to support a portfolio of commercial properties across

Oxford, South London, Kent and West London . Working across a varied portfolio, you will be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and minor mechanical works, ensuring building services operate safely, efficiently and in compliance with statutory requirements. This is a mobile role suited to an experienced mechanical engineer who is comfortable working independently across multiple sites while providing a professional, customer-focused service. Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the portfolio.

Maintain, diagnose and repair mechanical building-services systems and associated plant.

Undertake minor mechanical works and repairs as required.

Identify faults, diagnose issues and recommend appropriate remedial works.

Support the safe and compliant operation of mechanical plant and equipment.

Carry out duties in accordance with

ACOP L8

requirements for the control of Legionella.

Complete job sheets, maintenance records and reports accurately using CAFM and other company systems.

Identify additional or follow-on works and report these appropriately.

Liaise professionally with clients, building users and other stakeholders while on site.

Work collaboratively with other engineers, contractors and the wider operational team.

Ensure all works are completed safely and in accordance with company procedures and statutory requirements.

Participate in the engineering

on-call rota , with a

£200 standby payment .

What Were Looking For

You will be an experienced mechanical engineer with a background in

commercial building services, facilities management or a similar environment . You will ideally have: City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in a mechanical discipline , or equivalent.

Apprenticeship-trained mechanical engineering background or equivalent practical training.

Previous experience delivering mechanical maintenance within commercial buildings.

Strong experience of both

PPM and reactive maintenance .

Good fault-finding and problem-solving capability.

Sound knowledge of

ACOP L8 / Legionella control .

A good understanding of associated building-services systems.

Confidence using CAFM systems, email and electronic reporting tools.

Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Ability to work independently while remaining part of a wider engineering team.

Full UK driving licence , due to the mobile nature of the position.
