Overview

In this role you will build high-quality iOS interfaces for Expedia's consumer apps, shaping user experiences across brands. You will design and evolve iOS solutions, balancing architecture with practicality to ship from concept to production. You’ll work closely with product, backend, and brand teams to deliver configurable platform capabilities and impactful UI improvements. Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality iOS user interfaces using Swift for complex applications
  • Design and evolve iOS solutions, evaluating architectural trade-offs
  • Deliver consumer-facing experiences across Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo
  • Build configurable, reusable platform capabilities supporting multiple brands
  • Consider device capabilities and design for iPhone and iPad
  • Collaborate with product managers, backend teams, domain services, brand teams, and platform groups
  • Explain technical challenges and delivery decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Contribute to initiatives like server-driven UI, clickstream improvements, UI redesigns, platform migrations, BEX redesign, and banner content management
Key requirements
  • Approximately 5–7 years of professional software development experience with substantial iOS work
  • Advanced iOS development experience using Swift
  • Strong understanding of iOS architecture and trade-offs
  • Experience delivering software from concept to production with quality focus
  • Proficient communication skills to explain technical challenges and decisions
  • Experience using AI-assisted software development tools
