Overview

In this role, you will elevate the quality and reliability of iOS and Android apps by driving mobile automation initiatives. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to expand automation coverage and shift testing left in the SDLC. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable automation scripts and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines. This position offers impact through robust QA strategies that support large-scale digital projects and improved release quality.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and enhance UI automation frameworks using Espresso (Android) and XCUITest (iOS)
  • Assess automation feasibility from requirements and design reusable test scripts
  • Create robust, scalable automated tests across mobile apps
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Contribute to code and PR reviews and automation-related PRs
  • Aim for comprehensive regression automation coverage
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, exploratory, end-to-end, GUI, API/web services, and accessibility testing
  • Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with devs for resolution and retest
  • Define and improve test strategies, QA processes, and best practices
  • Coordinate testing across multiple development and backend teams
  • Promote earlier testing in the SDLC with effective mocking strategies
  • Manage multiple priorities in an Agile environment
Key requirements
  • 7+ years of overall technical/QA experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Engineering, Science, or related discipline
  • Strong hands-on testing across iOS and Android apps
  • Minimum 3+ years of mobile automation testing experience
  • Hands-on with Espresso, XCUITest, Appium, Katalon, Selendroid or similar
  • Good understanding of mobile automation frameworks and testing methodologies
  • Knowledge of Swift, Kotlin, or similar languages
  • Strong programming, troubleshooting, and debugging skills
  • Excellent API testing experience (Postman, IntelliJ HTTP Client, or similar)
  • Experience with debugging/monitoring tools (Charles Proxy, Splunk, Sentry, Console)
  • Understanding of Functional, Integration, Regression, Exploratory, End-to-End, GUI, Web Services, and Accessibility testing
  • Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD environments
  • Strong grasp of SDLC and Agile practices
