Overview

In this role, you will design, build, and ship secure Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose within a cross-functional engineering squad. You’ll work with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver user-friendly features for managing money at scale. You’ll champion engineering excellence, optimize performance, and mentor peers as Curve grows. Responsibilities
  • Design, build and deliver Android apps with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers and backend engineers
  • Improve application performance and quality; ensure security and scalability
  • Mentor fellow engineers and promote best practices
  • Contribute to robust development processes and multi-module architecture
  • Support lifecycle management and issue debugging in production
  • Develop and maintain automated tests (unit, integration, UI)
  • Work in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment
Key requirements
  • Proven experience shipping Android apps to Google Play
  • Strong Kotlin and Jetpack Compose expertise
  • Experience building secure, scalable, high-performance mobile applications
  • Solid understanding of Android architecture, design patterns and SOLID principles
  • Experience with Clean Architecture and OOP
  • Hands-on knowledge of Android components (Activities, Fragments, Services, Content Providers, Broadcast Receivers) and lifecycle management
  • Experience monitoring performance and debugging production issues
  • Experience writing automated tests (unit, integration, UI)
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams and within Agile/Scrum
  • Experience building and maintaining multi-module applications
  • Ability to mentor and promote engineering best practices
