Model Validation Analyst Intern Montreal

Build hands-on model validation experience with TMX Group in Montreal through quantitative analysis, data cleansing, and workflow automation. This hybrid internship requires office attendance two to three days weekly.

As an Intern Analyst, Model Validation, you will support the Model Validation team under senior mentorship. Your work may include regulatory research, database optimization, exploratory analysis, and documentation reviews. You will also complete a guided term project aligned with team initiatives, with opportunities to present findings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain, cleanse, sort, and structure databases for analytics
• Develop Python, SQL, or Matlab scripts for workflow automation
• Support research, regulatory review, and exploratory data analysis
• Review model documentation and perform preliminary benchmarking checks
• Complete and present a guided learning project

Requirements:

• Current undergraduate or graduate enrollment in a quantitative field
• Ability to analyze issues and produce written recommendations
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently
• High degree of integrity and ethical conduct
• Knowledge of Python, SQL, Matlab, VBA, Power BI, or Tableau preferred
