Modern Workplace Engineer | 6-Month Contract | Remote (UK) with occasional site travel

A large international group is in the middle of an acquisition programme, and several newly acquired operating companies need to be brought into the group’s Microsoft workplace estate before year end.

They need an experienced Workplace Engineer to take ownership of that onboarding and keep delivery moving across the wider Workplace team.

This isn’t a ticket-queue contract. You’ll own live initiatives from day one: getting new businesses onto Intune, Autopilot and Windows 11, standing up and managing AVD and working with local teams across multiple countries to get them there with minimal disruption.

What you’ll be doing

• Leading the technical onboarding of acquired OpCos into the group’s M365 and endpoint environment
• Designing, configuring and managing Microsoft Intune policies, compliance and app deployment
• Driving Windows 11 rollout and Autopilot device provisioning for new and existing sites
• Managing and optimising Azure Virtual Desktop through Nerdio
• Owning Microsoft 365 workplace engineering across the estate
• Running workshops and engaging stakeholders across several business units, with occasional travel to customer sites

What you’ll bring

• Strong hands‑on Microsoft Intune and endpoint management experience at enterprise scale
• A track record of fast‑paced M&A integration or tenant/OpCo onboarding work
• Nerdio and AVD management experience
• Windows 11 deployment, Autopilot and modern workplace expertise
• Broad M365 engineering knowledge
• Comfort running technical projects end to end, and the credibility to lead conversations with senior and non‑technical stakeholders
