Overview

As a Technical Architect in Computacenter’s Workplace Practice, you will shape enterprise-scale Modern Workplace solutions for large public and defence sector customers. You lead solution design, governance, and pre‑sales activities, aligning technical options with business outcomes. You’ll collaborate across architects, consultants, and delivery teams to drive workplace transformation programmes. This role offers the chance to influence how organisations secure and manage modern endpoints at scale while supporting high-profile transformation projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design and implementation of enterprise-scale workplace solutions
  • Act as technical authority providing governance and assurance across in-flight projects
  • Support customer strategy and opportunity discussions, presenting technical and business perspectives
  • Own creation of technical solutions, pre-sales responses, and cost models
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout project lifecycle
  • Support remediation of complex bids and delivery engagements
  • Provide leadership and guidance to consultants and project teams
  • Ensure projects are delivered using Agile and Prince2 methodologies
  • Build trusted relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to enhance outcomes with additional services and solutions
  • Contribute to ongoing development of Workplace Practice capabilities and offerings
Key requirements
  • Significant experience designing and delivering Modern Workplace solutions in enterprise environments
  • Strong experience leading solution design, governance, and costing activities
  • Excellent customer-facing and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience presenting solutions to technical and business audiences
  • Knowledge of TOGAF or architecture frameworks
  • Experience in public sector, defence, or highly regulated environments
  • Experience across Microsoft Intune, Windows 11, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Defender Suite, XDR, PIM, MECM
