Overview

In this role, you will own and guide the Event Management tooling landscape within Version 1’s ASPIRE Global Service Centre, aligning it with service management goals and customer needs. You’ll lead strategic tooling direction, drive automation and AI-enabled improvements, and coordinate transitions and integrations. You will provide technical leadership across the Event Management platform, shaping how we monitor and triage incidents at scale. This is a chance to influence AI-driven operations and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities
  • Define and maintain Service Offering and Service Description documentation supporting pre-sales
  • Own and manage the Event Management tooling environment (Opsview, Orchestrator, Engage/ConnectWise/ServiceNow integrations)
  • Define and drive the Event Management technology roadmap aligned with operations
  • Act as the Event Management SME advising on capabilities and improvements
  • Plan currency and upgrades for tools, including OS and collector updates
  • Lead configuration and toolset development (templates, checks, orchestration)
  • Identify and implement AI and automation to reduce noise and accelerate triage
  • Oversee customer transitions ensuring monitoring environments are provisioned and validated
  • Coordinate tooling integrations with Engage, ServiceNow, and future platform connections
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure/Platform to align architecture and Collector image development
  • Work with Service Desk, L2, L3 to capture requirements, support escalations, and improve platform effectiveness
Key requirements
  • Proven experience in Event Management tooling ownership (Opsview, Nagios-based tools, or similar)
  • Strong understanding of monitoring architectures, Collector deployment, alert management, and integrations
  • Experience leading platform upgrades and migrations in production
  • Strong stakeholder management across technical and business teams
  • Hands-on automation, orchestration, and system integration; exposure to ServiceNow, AWS, Azure, Ansible, Terraform
  • Track record of AI/ML-driven improvements in operations
