This position requires strong financial analysis skills, attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple applications while maintaining high standards of accuracy and service quality. You will collaborate with mortgage processors, loan officers, brokers, valuation professionals, and other internal teams to resolve documentation gaps, clarify application details, and facilitate timely lending decisions.
The ideal candidate will be committed to professional integrity, responsible risk assessment, data confidentiality, and delivering a reliable mortgage underwriting experience. This opportunity may suit candidates with previous mortgage, banking, credit analysis, or financial services experience who want to contribute to an organized and professional lending environment.

- Communication and Coordination: Work with loan officers, mortgage processors, brokers, applicants, and internal departments to clarify discrepancies, request missing information, and communicate underwriting requirements professionally.
- Underwriting File Maintenance: Maintain complete, accurate, and well-organized records of assessments, supporting evidence, risk findings, decisions, and reasons for any conditions or exceptions.
- Turnaround Time Management: Manage assigned application volumes, prioritize cases according to urgency and complexity, and work toward established service-level agreements without compromising decision quality.
- Exception Handling: Escalate applications involving complex financial circumstances, policy exceptions, elevated risk, or decisions outside delegated authority to the appropriate senior underwriter or lending manager.
