Mortgage Underwriting Manager

This experienced leadership role oversees Underwriters and Mortgage Associates while maintaining quality, consistency, and efficiency. You will guide complex credit decisions, reinforce lending guidelines, and collaborate with Business Development Managers and Mortgage Broker partners. The position supports sound risk practices and strong stakeholder experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coach and develop Underwriters and Mortgage Associates
• Escalate complex applications and exception requests
• Ensure consistent underwriting policy application
• Oversee workflows, pipelines, and turnaround times
• Build relationships with broker and internal partners

Requirements:

• Five or more years of alternative mortgage experience
• Two or more years of mortgage underwriting experience
• One or more years leading, coaching, or managing teams
• Knowledge of lending, credit risk, AML, and ATF practices
• Fundmore and Microsoft Office 365 experience
