Permanent Physician - Neonatology

Shift: 24-hour in-house coverage with continuous 24/7 coverage
Position Details:
Patient Population: NICU patients
Setting: Level III NICU
Responsibilities: Provide neonatal intensive care, collaborate with pediatric surgery and cardiology specialists, coordinate neonatal transport, and participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and clinical research.
Required Procedures: HFOV, HFJV, inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia
Support Staff: Neonatologists, pediatric surgery and cardiology specialists, and nurse-led neonatal transport team
On-Call/Weekends: 24/7 in-house coverage; weekend coverage included in the rotation
Submission Requirements:
- Board Eligible within 5 years of eligibility or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- Board Certified in Pediatrics
- Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report within 30 days
