Opportunity:

Physician - Internal Medicine - Nephrology


Job Details:

  • Provide inpatient nephrology coverage with regular hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, followed by 15 on-call hours on weekdays and 24 on-call hours on Saturdays and Sundays

  • Full-time clinic coverage plus 1 week per month call coverage required

  • Minimum of 7 consecutive shifts per assignment

  • Manage an inpatient rounding list that fluctuates between 14 and 18 patients per shift

  • Treat inpatient nephrology patients with expertise in dialysis management including hemodialysis, CRRT, and peritoneal dialysis

  • Management of post-renal transplant patients required

  • Catheter placement required

  • Support staff includes Fresenius RNs in the inpatient dialysis unit, as well as an RN and Medical Assistants in the nephrology clinic available to assist with outpatient dialysis orders

  • Board certification or board eligibility required with a minimum of fellowship level training

  • BLS certification required

  • Trauma Level 2 facility
