About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior .Net Developer to join our established team in North London. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and optimizing our financial management systems that serve some of the leading brands in retail and media. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, particularly with Visual Basic .NET, C#, and SQL Server, along with experience in SAP Business One integration. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex API development, database optimization, and cloud-based solutions within a collaborative environment. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams including SAP consultants, frontend developers, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions that meet our clients' evolving needs.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in .NET framework, C#, and Visual Basic .NET for API and business logic development
• Extensive experience working with SQL Server, including query optimization, stored procedures, and indexing strategies
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles, error handling, logging, and monitoring
• Experience with version control systems such as Git and familiarity with agile development methodologies
• Knowledge of Windows Forms applications is advantageous
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs in VB.NET and C# to support backend functionalities and ensure seamless integration with SQL Server and SAP Business One systems
• Write efficient and optimized SQL queries, stored procedures, and manage database indexing to handle large datasets effectively
• Monitor and improve API performance, database query execution times, and overall system scalability to meet business requirements
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for APIs, database schemas, and backend infrastructure to facilitate ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing
• Collaborate with SAP consultants, frontend developers, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth system integration and deployment
• Conduct code reviews, debugging, and error handling to uphold high standards of code quality and system reliability
• Stay updated with industry best practices, API standards, database performance tuning techniques, and emerging cloud technologies
