Overview

In this role you will support and optimize mission-critical trading networks within a world-class prop trading environment. You’ll work as part of a focused Network Operations team in London, handling performance monitoring, issue resolution, and infrastructure engineering. You’ll gain exposure to intricate trading networks and proprietary systems, contributing to reliable, low-latency connectivity. This is a hands-on position for technically curious professionals who want to grow in a high-stakes financial tech space.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues
  • Perform engineering activities to maximize performance
  • Learn microwave network planning including frequency and interference analysis
  • Support and configure proprietary hardware and black boxes
  • Conduct daily health checks using proprietary and industry monitoring tools
  • Support project implementations
  • Determine power configuration and forecast capacity requirements
Key requirements
  • BSc in Computer Science or Networking (or related)
  • Sub 7 years of commercial experience in networks
  • CCNA minimum
  • Scripting skills (Python, Perl, Shell, Java, JavaScript)
  • Linux administration
  • Self-driven with the ability to work independently
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • Ability to engineer projects and produce documentation
