Network Automation Engineer – Trading

In this role you will support and harden on-premise data centres and networks for a fintech trading client processing massive message volumes daily. You’ll help deliver high-availability, secure and automated network operations across multiple regions, working with leading devices and a culture that values thoughtful decision-making. This is a fast-paced environment, similar to large tech groups, focused on low-latency, reliable connectivity. You’ll contribute to shaping scalable, resilient networks that underpin FX, equities and fixed-income trading.

• Support on-premise data centres and networks
• Ensure availability, security, automation, and ongoing operations of the network
• Work with Arista, Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper and A10 devices
• Contribute to building high-performing, resilient, low-latency networks in multiple regions
• Promote efficient deployment and standard configuration management through automation
• Troubleshoot issues and manage incident escalations, with occasional out-of-hours support
• Advocate for production change management processes and procedures

• Experience with low-latency networking devices: Arista, Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, A10
• Basic coding and network automation experience (Python, Ansible, Jinja2)
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, EVPN, VRFs, VXLAN, route leaking and filtering, IPsec
• CCNP level
