Network Engineer

Location: Oxford Site

Schedule: 2 days/week (currently Wednesday & Thursday – subject to change to Tuesday & Wednesday)

Contract Length: 3 months (with possible extension)

Rate: £110–£120/day

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for a part-timeNetwork Engineer to support an on-site deployment at our Oxford location. This role is ideal for someone local or within easy commuting distance looking for a steady, part-time contract.

General duties of the this role include but are not limited to:

• Installation of servers, switches, firewall and hard drive installation.
• Patching network and server cable management.
• Auditing client environments.
• Executing WiFi surveys.
• Setting up new users, desktop PC’s, laptops and printers.
• Secure disposal of IT equipment which is no longer required.
• Travel within Greater London.

Characteristics/experience needed for a Network Engineer:

• Previous exposure to hardware/server installs would be beneficial.
• Any IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, N+ would be of interest
• A passion for IT and delivering exceptional customer service.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with clear communication skills.
• Can handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
• Able to work hours with variable start and finish times.
