Overview

In this role you will strengthen and operate the global IT network as a Level 3 infrastructure specialist. You will work within the Infrastructure team to deliver network projects and 3rd-line support for a FTSE-listed organization. You’ll tackle design, configuration, and troubleshooting across Cisco and Meraki platforms, while driving automation, documentation, and knowledge sharing. The role offers exposure to both on-prem and cloud network domains (Azure) and opportunities to lead technical delivery in a high-demand environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 3rd-line network support and project delivery within tight timeframes
  • Lead/participate in network projects including office moves, vendor replacements, and data centre networks
  • Create and maintain project and site documentation; conduct knowledge-sharing workshops
  • Proactively monitor IT systems and implement preventive measures to reduce downtime
  • Produce post-incident reviews and implement improvements
  • Test and report on network and application performance; develop strategies to maintain/improve core infrastructure
  • Enforce IT security policies and identify potential vulnerabilities; support incident/change management
  • Manage on-call rotation and participate in weekend maintenance
  • Architect and maintain LAN/WAN/Internet/intranet networks to meet business requirements
  • Develop expertise in a technology area to become a trusted SME
Key requirements
  • CCNP level certification or above
  • Strong experience as a Level 3 Network Engineer
  • Hands-on with Cisco and Meraki products
  • Experience configuring/troubleshooting Cisco FTD, FMC, Switches, Nexus 5k/9k
  • Experience with Meraki MX/MS/MR and SD-WAN
  • Experience with Cisco Catalyst, ISR, and DNA Center
  • CUCM/Cisco Voice experience
  • In-depth Cisco ISE experience
  • Multicast troubleshooting skills
  • Azure cloud networking understanding
  • Network automation via Python scripting
  • Cisco AnyConnect VPN configuration/troubleshooting
  • Linux experience ( desirable)
  • ITIL processes knowledge
  • On-call availability and weekend maintenance
