Network Engineer

World Wide Technology Holding has an opportunity for a Network Engineer who can own design, automation and lifecycle management of global core network infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings deep Cisco IOS-XR and NSO automation expertise, with a track record leading large-scale network migrations, software upgrades, and hardware refresh programmes across a complex global estate.

This is a contract Role & Inside IR35

Contract Duration: 6 months

Location: Hybrid, 2 days onsite per week

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Cisco NSO automation, service models, and workflows.
• Lead migration and transformation across Cisco 8000, ASR 9000, and NCS platforms.
• Design and support large-scale WAN, MAN, and Optical Transport networks.
• Troubleshoot routing and control-plane issues in production IOS-XR environments.
• Build low-level designs, runbooks, and rollback plans for migrations.
• Drive infrastructure-as-code and model-driven automation initiatives.
• Support change management, CAB reviews, and root cause analysis.
• Maintain engineering standards and technical documentation.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years in large enterprise or service provider network environments.
• Expert knowledge of Cisco IOS-XR architecture and troubleshooting.
• Strong grounding in MPLS, Segment Routing, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, and EVPN.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco 8000, ASR 9000, or NCS 5500/5700.
• Strong Cisco NSO experience, including YANG, Python, and NETCONF/REST.
• Experience with DWDM and optical transport networking.
• Strong stakeholder management and vendor engagement skills.
• CCNP or CCIE (Enterprise or Service Provider).
• Experience with Cisco Crosswork, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Financial services or investment banking experience.
• SD-WAN or Arista CloudVision experience.
