Network Engineer (Cisco)

In this London-based role you will support and operate enterprise and OT networks, solving complex networking challenges with modern technologies. You will collaborate with UK and US infrastructure teams, owning routing, switching, security and voice infrastructure while delivering reliable connectivity and secure services. You’ll lead troubleshooting, upgrades and design work, producing solid documentation and diagrams. This is a hands-on, customer-focused position with a 24x7 on-call component and opportunities to shape network resilience and performance.
Responsibilities- Support Unified Communications (Cisco CUCM/CME, SIP) across UK, Ireland and US
- Own complex routing and switching environments (EIGRP, BGP, QoS, L2/L3)
- Design, install, operate and support enterprise WAN, LAN and Voice infrastructures
- Lead troubleshooting, upgrades, cutovers and infrastructure improvements
- Deliver secure network services including firewalls, VPNs and OT/Process Control security (FortiGate)
- Produce high quality documentation, designs and diagrams (Visio)
- Manage data connectivity (MPLS, broadband, LTE) and WAN optimisation
- Support Wi Fi environments (Aruba & Cisco)
- Perform advanced packet and traffic analysis (NetScout, Wireshark)
- Automate and manage configurations using scripts, HP Network Automation, SolarWinds NCM
- Provide excellent customer service and technical leadership across all levels of the business
- Participate in an on call Rota (24x7, approx. 3 weeks per year)
- Extensive experience in enterprise network and communications engineering
- Strong expertise across routing, switching, voice, security and wireless
- Proven experience working on highly complex, business critical systems
