Network Engineer – Trading Networks

As a Network Engineer in a leading trading technology environment, you will design, deploy and resolve complex network issues for a global service provider network. You’ll collaborate with exchanges, operations and cross-functional teams to deploy robust, scalable networking solutions. Your work will influence incident resolution, standards development, and ongoing improvements across global Network Operations. This role offers exposure to high-stakes trading data feeds and a fast-paced, open-culture environment.

- Provide technical expertise within the network operations team and serve as escalation point for complex issues
- Lead during high-priority incidents to ensure timely production issue resolution
- Act as lead Operations resource for internal projects and initiatives
- Develop and drive adoption of standards and processes for global Network Operations
- Participate in design reviews to identify risks and simplify designs while ensuring operational readiness
- Collaborate with other technology teams to address operational risks and issues
- Mentor and support development of team members across global Service Operations
- CCIE or JNCIE certified or equivalent level of knowledge
- Strong routing and switching protocols knowledge
- Deep understanding of IP Multicast with market data feeds in trading environments
- In-depth BGP theory, operation, and traffic engineering in complex domains
- Solid TCP/IP protocol knowledge with ability to diagnose from pcap data
- Excellent analytical skills for root cause analysis in complex networks
- Experience with enterprise firewall platforms
- Experience configuring/troubleshooting IPSec VPNs
- Experience with Network Management Systems using SNMP and Syslog
