Network Engineering Specialist (IP management team)

In this on-site role in London, you will deliver and sustain complex network infrastructure for enterprise and remote sites, aligning with BT’s security-focused engineering practice. You’ll work within a multi-disciplinary team to design, implement, test, and support network solutions while upholding global standards. The role demands DV level clearance and close collaboration with customers to shape secure connectivity. You’ll contribute to strategic engineering objectives and engage in technically challenging projects with real-world impact.

• Design, build, test, validate, maintain and support network infrastructure components
• Implement new and enhanced network technologies aligned with customer strategy
• Maintain standards for global network infrastructure including wireless, LAN and SD-WAN
• Install, test and configure network hardware (firewalls, routers, switches, monitoring)
• Drive currency and supportability of networking technology

• Experience with enterprise/operator-scale routing designs using OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, LDP, or RSVP
• LAN switching experience in data centre/enterprise environments; RSTP/MSTP, LAG, MC-LAG or SPB; first-hop resilience and security protocols
• Experience in network security implementations (MACSEC/IPSEC/802.1x)
• Knowledge of security-focused network design including Firewall/IDS/IPS management and configuration
