Network Infrastructure Team Lead

Lead network security and infrastructure work in Ottawa, supporting an on-site IT Systems team five days weekly. Use deep troubleshooting expertise daily.

This permanent, full-time Network Administrator role includes technical leadership and mentoring responsibilities. You will oversee administration, security, patching, compliance, and performance optimization. The work spans LAN, WAN, wireless, and data centre infrastructure while supporting projects and network improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a small network engineering team
• Coordinate priorities, shift rotations, and technical development
• Oversee network security, patching, compliance, and performance
• Design and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, wireless, and data centre infrastructure
• Lead projects, provisioning, configuration, and infrastructure upgrades

Requirements:

• Five or more years of network administration experience
• Demonstrated technical leadership and strong troubleshooting skills
• Expertise with firewalls, intrusion prevention, and 802.1X
• Experience with enterprise Wi-Fi and network monitoring
• Strong English communication, analytical, documentation, and project management skills
