Network Infrastructure Technical Specialist

Apply network security and infrastructure expertise as a Network Technical Specialist working on site at a physical location. Support networks, servers, and users.

This Network Technical Specialist position requires three to less than five years of experience. Work spans IT infrastructure, help desk, manufacturing, and computer hardware or software retail and wholesale settings. You will administer LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, workstations, and peripheral equipment. The position also involves server maintenance, network monitoring, security procedures, backups, and recovery operations. No supervision responsibility is included.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate access and use of computer networks
• Install software, servers, hardware, and operating systems
• Maintain and troubleshoot LANs, WANs, and workstations
• Monitor systems, networks, traffic, and server performance
• Provide problem-solving services to network users

Requirements:

• College or CEGEP education, or equivalent experience
• Three to less than five years of experience
• English language ability
• Networking software, hardware, and security knowledge
• On-site availability at the physical work location
