Network Ops Engineer

In this role you ensure the stability and integrity of the client network and related infrastructure, spanning LAN, WAN, and wireless services. You will operate within a national team supporting the Aero & Defence Space client, collaborating across delivery and service management to meet SLAs. You’ll troubleshoot, resolve incidents, and contribute to knowledge sharing and service centre capability building. This is a hands-on, on-site position with a focus on delivering reliable, secure network services.

• Plan and execute in-depth technical activities
• Influence activity direction and provide technical guidance
• Investigate and resolve network issues using established troubleshooting methods
• Manage network support cases to achieve fast resolutions
• Record all cases accurately in the ticketing system and close within SLAs
• Utilise central repository for knowledge sharing and best practices
• Support ad-hoc projects to improve the Ideal Service Centre capabilities
• Share knowledge via guides, emails, and team meetings
• Participate in on-call and shift rotations (onsite)

• Security clearance BPSS/SC with 5 years UK address history at application
• Networking-focused information security/tech experience
• Cisco switching & wireless, Cisco Security incl. ASA, ISE
• Cisco certification CCNP or multiple CCNA across network technologies
• Experience in incident management, service requests, and problem solving
• Experience with ticketing systems and monitoring/management tools
• Strong client requirement understanding and relationship-building
• Ability to meet deadlines and SLA targets
