Network Ops Engineer

In this Network Operations Engineer role, you ensure stable, secure LAN/WAN and wireless services for Accenture’s Aero & Defence Space client. You will design, implement and optimize networks while supporting incidents and service requests to meet SLAs. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to share knowledge and drive improvements in the Service Centre. This onsite, on‑site/off‑site hybrid delivery demands security clearance and British nationality. You’ll help safeguard a critical national network environment while contributing to a high‑performing operations team.

• Plan and execute deep technical activities across networks
• Provide technical guidance and influence plans with the team
• Investigate and resolve issues in the customer network and IT environment
• Manage network support cases to achieve fast resolutions
• Record cases accurately in the ticketing system and meet timeframes
• Utilize central knowledge repositories to share best practices
• Support and own ad-hoc projects to enhance the Ideal Service Centre
• Share knowledge with the team via knowledge base and meetings
• Participate in on-call and shift rotations (onsite delivery)

• Security clearance (BPSS and SC) with 5 years UK address history
• British national only
• Experience in information security/technology focused on networking
• Cisco switching & wireless, ASA firewalls and ISE
• Cisco certifications (CCNP or multiple CCNA in Networking)
• Incident, service request, and problem management experience
• Experience with ticketing systems and monitoring/management tools
• Effective communication and relationship-building to understand client requirements
• Ability to meet deadlines and SLAs
