Overview

In this role you lead the design and hands-on deployment of complex multi-vendor network and security solutions, guiding projects from concept to sign-off. You’ll produce high- and low-level designs, plan implementations, and author runbooks for operations handover. You’ll validate designs through PoCs, optimize infrastructures, and provide expert incident resolution and risk assessments. You’ll mentor engineers, communicate with stakeholders, and drive delivery across cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design and implementation of complex multi-vendor network and security solutions across greenfield and brownfield environments
  • Produce High-Level and Low-Level Design documentation for review and sign-off
  • Develop detailed implementation plans and change records aligned with change management
  • Create comprehensive operational runbooks for handover to operations
  • Conduct design validation, PoC testing, and post-implementation verification
  • Configure, deploy, and optimize network and security infrastructure
  • Diagnose and resolve complex incidents and provide escalation support
  • Perform capacity planning and risk identification with improvement recommendations
  • Coordinate activities of engineers, delegate tasks, and monitor quality
  • Serve as primary technical contact for stakeholders, communicating design decisions and project status
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers and technicians
  • Present designs and strategies to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
  • Collaborate with project managers, solution architects, client networks and security teams to ensure seamless delivery
  • Manage technical scope, expectations and project dependencies
  • Engage vendors for urgent escalations or bugs during deployments
Key requirements
  • Advanced understanding of technical design and business principles
  • Advanced project fundamentals and administration experience
  • Advanced client engagement and communication skills
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor team members
  • Ability to take ownership as technical lead through project lifecycle
  • Bachelor in Information Technology (or equivalent)
  • Professional level certifications in networking technologies (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, CCIE, JNCIE, ACMP)
  • Cisco DevNet certification desirable
  • Advanced experience in networking technologies (routing, switching, Wireless, SDI distribution, core and access layers)
  • Advanced experience in diagnosis and troubleshooting
  • Excellent verbal communication

  • Ownership and accountability in project delivery
  • Multi-vendor network and security design and deployment
  • High-Level and Low-Level Design documentation (HLD/LLD)
  • PoC planning and validation
