New York Collections Specialist

To support key and global client accounts, the part-time Collections Specialist in New York will manage a portfolio of client accounts, secure payment of outstanding balances, and resolve payment issues while working remotely in a contract role. Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of client accounts to secure payment of outstanding balances in line with agreed credit terms Build effective relationships with client contacts and Accounts Payable teams to resolve payment issues and support timely collections Investigate and resolve invoice, billing, and payment-related queries, collaborating with internal stakeholders to remove barriers to payment Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred At least three years of relevant collections or credit control experience, with a strong focus on customer service Experience in a law firm or professional services environment highly preferred Experience with Elite 3E or comparable billing software is highly preferred Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and Word
