NOC Engineer – High Frequency Trading

Overview
In this NOC Engineer role, you will safeguard and optimize mission-critical networks for a premier prop trading house. You’ll join a tight, world-class team in London to monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement engineering tasks that boost network efficiency. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge trading networks and a chance to learn microwave planning and proprietary systems. You’ll contribute to fast-paced, technically rigorous projects in a supportive, flexible environment.
Responsibilities- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues
- Execute complex engineering activities to maximize performance
- Learn and apply microwave network planning including frequency and interference analysis
- Support and configure proprietary black boxes
- Conduct daily health checks using proprietary and industry tools
- Assist with project implementation
- Determine power configuration and forecast capacity requirements
- BSc in Computer or Telecommunication field
- Sub 7 years of commercial network experience
- Self-driven and capable of working independently
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Scripting skills in Unix/Bash/Python
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Ability to engineer projects and produce required documents
- Self-motivated

- Unix/Linux scripting (Bash, Python)
- Windows knowledge
- Networking fundamentals (CCNA/CCNP)
