We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician for a Hospital Medicine opportunity in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

This acute care hospital has a busy Hospital Medicine program with dedicated day and night provider teams, NP support, and a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. The program uses Cerner EMR.

Practice Highlights:

  • Night shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
  • Night providers: 2
  • NP coverage: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
  • Average night census:
  • Average night admissions: 6 9
  • Night physicians are responsible for admissions only
  • NP provides overnight cross-coverage and occasional admissions with physician support
  • No procedures required
  • Rapid Response participation required
  • ICU is responsible for running codes; hospitalists go to bedside as a courtesy
  • Cerner EMR

The Hospital Medicine service is supported by a broad range of specialty services, including Cardiology, General Surgery, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Neurology, Psychiatry, Orthopedics, Hematology/Oncology, Radiology, Urology, and Interventional Radiology.
