Nocturnist Physician

Position Overview:

• Pay Rate: $200.00 / hour
  
• Location: Fort Pierce, FL
  
• Specialty: Hospital Medicine Nocturnist
  
• Schedule: 7 ON / 7 OFF 12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
  
• Start Date: ASAP / Immediate (Projected start 01/26/2027 with ongoing coverage)
  
• Duration: 3 Months minimum (Indefinite/Ongoing need; 3 open positions)
  
• Call Requirement: No home call (12-hour on-site coverage only)
  

Clinical & Facility Details:

• Procedures & Vents: Not required (Procedures are appreciated, but not mandatory)
  
• ICU Involvement: Yes, rounding in ICU with Critical Care on-site as Primary Team
  
• Facility Type: 500+ Bed Tertiary Safety Net & Referral Hospital Level 2 Trauma & Stroke Center
  
• Patient Census: 250+ total Hospital Medicine census (Average patients per MD)
  Patient Population: Clinically complex and socioeconomically diverse
  
• Support Staff: APPs on-site for night cross-coverage support
  
• EMR: Meditech Expanse (Includes paid EMR training and shadow shift orientation)
  

Candidate Requirements:

• Training: Internal Medicine (IM) or Family Medicine (FM) trained
  
• Licensure: Active FL Medical License & Active DEA
  
• Experience: Strong inpatient practice background with no gaps in clinical practice
