Locums - Fargo, North Dakota, OB/GYN Hospitalist Job (IMLC Accepted)

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: Ongoing

Coverage Schedule:

  • Weekdays preferred

  • Ideally 3-4 24-hour shifts per month

  • Minimum of 24 hours off between shifts

  • In-house call coverage

  • Required call response time: 30 minutes

  • Assigned and unassigned patients

  • Providers must be available to cover at least 50% of the listed open shifts to be considered for submission

  • Scheduling may be adjusted to accommodate travel for providers covering individual dates

Open Shifts:

  • November 2026: November 20, 23-29

  • December 2026: December 3, 8, 14, 23-31

  • January 2027: January 1-3

Facility Details:

  • Level II Trauma Center

  • 16 labor, delivery, and postpartum rooms

  • 1 dedicated OB operating room

  • Approximately 120 deliveries per month

  • Physicians perform approximately 65% of all deliveries

  • EMR: Epic

  • Hospital is stroke certified

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Provide OB/GYN hospitalist coverage

  • Manage assigned and unassigned patients

  • Perform vaginal births after cesarean (VBACs) and C-sections

  • Collaborate with midwives and other members of the care team

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • ABMS- or AOA-board-certified OB/GYN

  • Fellowship required

  • Active North Dakota medical license or IMLC accepted

  • Must be comfortable working with a midwife

  • Must be comfortable performing VBACs and C-sections

  • Epic experience strongly preferred
