The facility features a 9-bed labor and delivery unit and 20 postpartum beds, supported by a strong team including OBHG hospitalists, surgical assistants, and dedicated nursing staff.

Job Details:

• Locum tenens OB/GYN coverage with potential for ongoing coverage, including urgent need dates in December
• Practice setting: OB/GYN Hospital/Call
• Call coverage is 7a-7a (24-hour shifts) with clinic coverage of approximately 20 patients per schedule
• Call ratio of 1 to 4
• Average of 2-3 nursery admissions per day
• Average callback per 24-hour shift is less than 1, with calls received from answering service
• Documentation system/EMR: EPIC
• Required procedures include: C-sections, vaginal deliveries, suction D&C, ectopic pregnancies, ovarian torsion, and management of abnormal bleeding
• MFM will handle most high-risk patients
• Support staff includes OBHG hospitalist, surgical assistants, and 3-4 nurses per shift
• Active Virginia medical license required
• Active VA DEA and CSR required
• Board Certification required
• ABOG and BLS certifications required
• ACLS certification required
• Must be able to cover call
• Candidates must provide procedure logs during credentialing demonstrating a minimum of 50 deliveries, with at least 15 C-sections in the last 12 months
• Self-query NPDB report required at time of presentation
• Providers must have a clean background to be considered
• Credentialing takes 60-90 days; temp approvals may be available for providers with a clean background and no malpractice history

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
