Obstetrics Physician

A community hospital in the Longmont, Colorado area needs OB/GYN locum coverage for 24-hour call shifts, 7a to 7a, covering emergent GYN and obstetrics including C-sections. December coverage is needed now, with dates ongoing into 2027 as schedules release.

This is a manageable call. About 30 deliveries a month, eight beds, one admission a day, in-house anesthesia, and RN support. You are backing up a family practice group, with no midwives in the mix. Level III trauma call. Epic.

The site schedules in two to three day stints and will not schedule more than four consecutive days, so this fits a physician who wants defined blocks rather than a long stretch away from home.

Pay is $2,475 per 24-hour call shift, which includes four gratis hours. Callback beyond that pays $300 an hour. For context on what that actually looks like, the facility s own averages are 2.9 callback hours on a weekday and 5.36 on a weekend. Travel and lodging are covered.
