Job description

Med Ninjas is seeking an experienced, certified Therapeutic Medical Physicist for locum coverage supporting radiation therapy services across multiple outpatient facilities in Michigan.
This is an on-site position, not a telehealth role . Candidates must have proton therapy experience, at least three years of professional experience, and certification through the American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) or the Canadian College of Physics in Medicine (CCPM).
The assignment includes radiation treatment planning and quality assurance, initial and weekly chart checks, HDR treatment planning and operation, and supervision of SBRT treatments.

Locum Medical Physicist Flint MI

Shift: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM; schedule may vary with clinical operations
Start Date: As soon as credentialing is completed; approximately 30 days
End Date: To be determined
Position Details: One Medical Physicist needed; local candidates only
Patient Population: Varies
Setting: Outpatient radiation therapy across multiple facilities; occasional inpatient patients for simulation and treatment to alleviate symptoms
Responsibilities: Radiation therapy physics support, treatment planning, machine quality assurance, chart checks, and treatment supervision
Required Procedures: HDR treatment planning and treatment operation; SBRT treatment supervision; radiation therapy quality assurance; proton therapy experience required
EMR System: ARIA
Days Per Month: Monday Friday, based on clinical needs

Required Procedures and Skills

• Proton therapy experience required

• SBRT treatment supervision
• Experience supporting radiation oncology treatment across multiple facilities

Requirements

• Certification through the American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP) or Canadian College of Physics in Medicine (CCPM) required
• Minimum of three years of experience; five or more years preferred
• Proton experience required and must be noted in the submission
• Local provider required; only mileage is reimbursed
• Clean background and no malpractice or license issues required
• Submit requested rates at the time of name clear
• Must be available to work on-site; telehealth is not accepted
• This is a Medical Physicist position, not an Oncologist position
